Is your primary e-mail account #gmail? As in the e-mail account we would use to communicate, so not necessarily your job related e-mail. Feel free to share widely.

After working as a human computer for years, Christine Darden became one of the few women aerospace engineers at NASA in the '70s, becoming well known for her research into supersonic aircraft noise, especially sonic boom reduction. #WomensHistoryMonth

Uofficielle regler for anvendelse af dansk sprog. En åben liste. Kom gerne med forslag.

1) "Slap lige af" har aldrig fået nogen til at slappe af.

Google "the mandalorian". Click on what you see in the bottom right. Keep doing that.

You're welcome.

I came to Rome, and visited the Vatican, and climbed ~320 steps, and took many photos.

But my favourite is this cranky-looking seagull.

@monro Here's an article on DeDRM... used correctly your books can remain yours (just remember to back them up).

It's so weird to see people cheering on tech layoffs because they believe tech workers get paid too much and don't work hard enough, but then also cheering on billionaires laying them off because they apparently do deserver the money and do work hard enough. Like, there's literally a wealth threshold where you go from "overpaid" to "how dare you question this man, the amount of money he has means he is completely infallible". It's like a tabletop exercise in coming up with the wrongest possible take on wealth inequality.

I made a tool for exploring JSON APIs interactively!

It's been invaluable to me for figuring out how #ActivityPub works. It's surprisingly satisfying to just click around, pretending this was some sort of client! :D

I encourage you to paste the URL to your own #Fediverse profile into the input box, and see how far you can get!

In the future, everyone will want to be anonymous for fifteen minutes. I posted this on FB many years ago and it seems truer than ever. #graffiti #art #AndyWarhol

@marissa seconding @beaveinflow

There are a ton of incredibly funny women on mastodon!

Adding in @ashinillinois

Definitely not an exhaustive list, but following them will make you laugh and should lead you to even more funny women on here.

@atomicpoet My own corner of the fediverse, Friendica, is in that situation since we don’t have any mobile client for iOS and my understanding is that our Android client is stale. But we do support large swaths of the Mastodon API. It works but not great. Even if it worked perfectly what drew me to Friendica was it’s more Facebook like UX (posts and comments) and it federating with networks with more than just ActivityPub, like Diaspora. So I’ve decided to remedy that by starting this new Flutter based app for Friendica that runs on Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, and Windows. It’s in early beta but it is my primary fediverse window already #relatica #friendica #fediverse #mastodon…

I’m going to tell you the story of the man who solved a crime.

Not, like, a cop who put together the clues and got his man, but a person who took a crime as old as civilization and fixed the problem where it got you in trouble.

The man: Artur Virgílio Alves Reis.

The place: 1920s Portugal.

The crime: Counterfeiting.

The problem he fixed: That the money is counterfeit.

(This is going to be a long 🧵 . Just trust me.)

Actor TOM WILSON was so tired of being asked the same questions about playing BIFF in BACK TO THE FUTURE…

…he decided to answer all of them in a song.
